I M B U E D

This collections captures the push and pull of the nature that surrounds her, an energy she's noticed on the levels of microcosm as well as the macrocosm of her local small town. All flora and bees used for this collection are local--not necessarily native, as many weeds travel easily. But the non-native weeds weave the story even deeper.

From runes to suncatchers to wall art, this collection is imbued and Kayla felt imbued with the energy of the land as she created it. She hopes it captures the very core and depths of her work--to energy of vigorous, reverent art meant to honor the world around us and the hearts within us.

E V E R G R E E N

E V E R G R E E N was a collection of jewelry capturing colorful tiny worlds with a mix of local flora and mini star daisies. What remains evergreen and unchanging is not ultimately impermanent. Nothing lasts forever, though we like to use words that imply it.

Fight the change, the impermanence, and it will burn you. But when we accept that even that which is evergreen isn't forever, we get the chance to embrace even the seeming unchanging things before they are gone, too.
